God Sees in Secret

I was asked to give a word of thanks to those who serve in our Audio/Visual ministry at church:

”With musical worship, we think about the people on the stage playing music. But without the AV team, it’s not possible at all. My sincerest thanks and gratitude to everybody who serves on AV team.

I know that there are people who are playing on my team that do both — and there’s other people on the other teams that do both, too. It helps us to see that worship isn’t really just what takes place on the stage, but it is what happens behind the scenes as well.

In our lives, even what we don’t see — what we do in the small moments, what we do at home, what we do where only God can see — that’s worship, too. In some ways, it might even be more worshipful than what we do on stage or in front of people. So thank you.”

So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. — Matthew 6:2-4
