Meet the Publishers

Here are eight Christian publishers I think you should know, listed in alphabetical order.

Alabaster
Alabaster’s vision is for all of humanity to experience God as beautiful. They believe beauty matters in our understanding of who God is—and together with you—they strive to make products that help bring forth beauty in the world.

They are best known for their beautiful Bibles, but they also make books and accessories.

Banner of Truth

The Banner of Truth Trust is a Christian organization which publishes books, organizes conferences, and publishes a monthly magazine. Their objective is the promotion, advancement, and dissemination of a better knowledge and understanding of the history and doctrines of the true Biblical Christian Faith.

Their bestsellers include Systematic Theology by Louis Berkhof, The Valley of Vision by Arthur Bennett, and the Puritan Paperback series.

Crossway

The purpose of Crossway has been, from its founding as a not-for-profit ministry in 1938, to publish gospel-centered, Bible-centered content that will honor our Savior and serve his Church. We seek to help people understand the massive implications of the gospel and the truth of God’s Word, for all of life, for all eternity, and for the glory of God.

Their bestselling books are Gentle and Lowly by Dane C. Ortlund, the ESV Study Bible, and New Morning Mercies by Paul David Tripp.

Cruciform Press

Clear, creative, and biblical books. Although Cruciform Press is explicitly Reformed in its theology, we are “essentially Reformed” in the sense that we are not focused on any particular denomination or movement. They seek to engage with diverse expressions of Reformed Christianity around that which truly lies at the heart of the Christian faith: the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Their publishing partners include DesiringGod and Tim Challies, and they have a popular Cruciform Bible Study imprint.

The Good Book Company

The Good Book Company are passionate about the Lord Jesus, His word, His church and His gospel of grace. Motivated by this passion and otheirr involvement in local churches, it is their privilege to create and publish biblical, relevant and accessible resources that will encourage you and your church family to keep going, keep growing and keep sharing your faith.

Their popular books include Is Christmas Unbelievable? by Rebecca McLaughlin, The Big Wide Welcome Storybook by Trillia J. Newbell & Catalina Echeverri, and the God’s Word For You series.

InterVarsity Press

Since 1947, InterVarsity Press (IVP) has been publishing thoughtful Christian books that shape both the lives of readers and the cultures they inhabit. Throughout these seventy-five years, their books and authors have established a legacy of speaking boldly into important cultural moments, providing timeless tools for spiritual growth, and equipping Christians for a vibrant life of faith.

Some of their bestsellers include Reading While Black by Esau McCaulley, Knowing God by J. I. Packer, and Compassion (&) Conviction by Justin Giboney, Michael Wear, and Chris Butler.

Lexham Press

Lexham Press seeks to increase biblical literacy, thoughtful Christian reflection, and faithful action around the world by publishing a range of Bible study materials, scholarly works, and pastoral resources.

Some of my recent faves include The Care of Souls by Harold L. Senkbeil, Hearers and Doers by Kevin Vanhoozer, and Piercing Heaven by Robert Elmer.
