We Are Not Left Alone

This was the closing prayer poem from my sermon I Will Not Leave You as Orphans. August 21, 2022. First Chinese Baptist Church, Walnut, California.

We Are Not Left Alone

Father, Son, and Spirit –

All glory be to God!

Who calls us as his children,

Who bought us by his blood.

You promised us a helper

As Christ’s commands we keep.

In loving God and others we

Are sealed with joy and peace.

Beloved and adopted,

We are not left alone.

Your presence and your power

Are gifts to guide us home.

Holy Spirit help us to

Remember and to see:

That Jesus is the Son in whom

We hope and we believe.
