31 Days Toward Trusting God

How can you learn to trust God even in your darkest days? In 31 Days toward Trusting God, Jerry Bridges shows you God’s sovereignty, and tells you that it is good to choose to trust Him.

Based on his book Trusting God Even When Life Hurts, it was written in the midst of personal difficulty and pain. Bridges’ wife Eleanor had been diagnosed with cancer. This is a distilling of that book, and broken down into 31 short chapters, each being about 2-3 pages in length.

Reason to Rejoice

Each devotion opens with a verse from the Bible, and Bridges speaks about it in simple and straightforward terms. His stories and illustrations will stir your affections and compel you towards Christ. His writing is warm and inviting, giving you hope and a reason to rejoice in God.

Bridges’ wife Eleanor died after his original book was published, but he still stands by the truth contained in its pages. God has specific purposes for our suffering, and he remains good. I am moved to trust my Master and my Maker. His mercies are new every morning.
