Authentic Ministry

In Authentic Ministry, Michael Reeves writes a guide to serving in the church.

In nine strong chapters, Reeves gives direction on how to pay attention to the way we work for God. He begins by telling us to delight in God, and he makes a clear case that when our heart is full with a glorious God, we wall want to share him – which is the essence of authentic ministry.

Strengthen Your Hands

I was most moved to read that we should pray boldly in ministry. Reeves writes that we come to a King, it is right and good for us to bring large petitions to him. I want to ask great things of God that I know only he can do.

I was most challenged to esteem friendship in ministry. While we talk much of networks and fellowship, what I long for is warm and hearty friendships, partnerships that are rich in personal appreciation and companionship for who they are themselves, not just what they do.

Authentic Ministry is a nourishing book that will strengthen your hands. Pastors, ministry leaders, and all servants of Christ will want to read this book for edification and encouragement.
