Beginning with God (God’s Big Promises)

Beginning with God (God’s Big Promises) presents 92 Bible devotions for young children by Carl Laferton, with illustrations by Jennifer Davison. It’s a fun and interactive way to spend quality time in God’s Word with your kids!

Meant for preschoolers and kindergartners, each devotion includes helpful features like questions, prayers, and—our favorite—stickers to help retell and interact with the Bible story. My daughter especially loves placing stickers on everything, so this book came at the perfect time!

Engage with Scripture

This devotional works best when paired with a read-aloud from the God’s Big Promises Bible Storybook that you can purchase separately, which is another favorite in our home. The 92 devotions span from creation to Christ’s return, and I love that it allows us to show our kids the full scope of Scripture.

I’m a firm believer that it’s never too early to introduce your kids to God’s Word. This book not only helps you quickly share Scripture—it helps you engage with it together!
