Big Idea

The birth of Jesus begins the fulfillment of God’s faithfulness. Every Christmas, you can remember that God keeps his promises.


Jeremiah 33:14-16

…I will fulfill the promise I made to the house of Israel and the house of Judah…I will cause a righteous Branch to spring up for David, and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.

Lamentations 3:22-23

The steadfast love [covenant love] of the LORD never ceases; his mercies [compassion] never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Revelation 1:4–5

…Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood…
