The book addresses spiritual amnesia, spiritual identity theft, and the danger of becoming intoxicated by the things of the world. I was most encouraged by the reminder that I can better understand God’s love for me by recognizing the Father’s love for his Son.
I also learned to reflect on our inheritance in Christ and our adoption as God’s children to better understand the greatness of his love. He truly lavishes his love upon us!
Faith and Sanctification
Fitzpatrick explores how God’s love grows our faith and leads us in our sanctification. I was most moved to see that our lives must be framed by Christ’s forgiveness of our sins. Fitzpatrick shows how his incarnation, sinless life, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension give us the power and perspective we need to live for him.
Because He Loves Me teaches that the more we grasp the depth of God’s love for us in Christ, the more our hearts, minds, and lives will be transformed to live for him.
