Rest and Enjoy
This book is an encouraging devotional designed to help you rest in and enjoy Jesus during the busy holiday season. Through hymns, psalms, short meditations, and food, the book offers many ways to experience the presence and delight of Christ. The hymns ground you in theological truth, and the psalms provide biblical wisdom. The daily readings help you reflect on Christ’s life—not just His coming as a baby—and the recipes offer something fun to share.
Focus on Christ
My favorite section was the set of entries centered around the hymn O Holy Night. While I know this song by heart, I had never truly paused to reflect on the lyrics. Newbell helped me see that it is a song about longing for a Savior and aching for forgiveness. It is also a hymn of new beginnings, liberation, and freedom. My heart was moved to worship in awe of our Savior. A warm and encouraging read, this keepsake book will inspire you as you slow down with your family and and truly focus on Christ this Christmas season!
