  1. What does Christian love look like? What does love look like in the church? How do I love without laying down my life?

  2. How are Christians supposed to interact with each other? How do we engage each other at church?

  3. How can you tell that someone is a Christian? Can you tell that someone is a Christian by what they wear?

  4. How do Christians stay strong? How do we stay unshaken in suffering? How do we persevere in persecution?

  5. Who can you trust? How do we know who we can trust in the church?

  6. Did I make the right choice?

  7. How can I be a strong and courageous Christian? And does it really matter? I’m not a leader of a nation like Joshua. I’m not tasked with carrying the Ring like Frodo. Why should I care about being a strong and courageous Christian?

  8. How can we make sure love will last?

  9. What tasks does God give his people?

  10. What empowers a Christian to live for God’s glory? What helps us live for him? And how can we get more of this help when we need it?

  11. What motivates a Christian to reconcile our relationships? What hope is there for Christians who always seem to find themselves in conflict? How can we be not opposing, but inviting?

  12. What motivates a Christian to continue to love others? What kindles Christian love? What keeps our love alive?

  13. What does worship in the church look like? Is it raising hands? Is it sitting in the seats? Is it music and singing? Is the person who is preaching the only one worshiping God? Those who are serving in the nursery doing our worship time – are they worshiping God?

  14. What do you believe? Do you believe that you just have to try your best to be a good person and you will go to Heaven? Do you believe that you just have to know the right facts about God and Jesus and Christianity and you will go to Heaven? Do you believe that there are multiple ways to get to Heaven, and Christianity is just one of the ways? What do you believe?

  15. Is unconditional election cold and unkind? Unconditional election is the doctrine that God chooses whom he will save. And his choice is his will. It’s up to him. Do you think this is unjust? Do you feel this is unfair? Is this right of God?

  16. What confidence does the Christian have that he will be kept by God? Satan, sin, and suffering are legitimate threats to our faith. What happens when the God of light sends dark clouds and the rain on his children? How do I know that my love for God will stay strong? Simon ended up disowning Jesus. If this happened for someone who was actually close with Jesus, what chance do I have that my love for God will stay strong?

  17. Have you ever felt like a conflicted Christian? Have you ever felt like two different people, like you were living two different lives? Because we live in the world, we will all find ourselves in situations where our faith is challenged. What truths can keep us sure and steady?

  18. Were the 10 commandments meant to condemn us? To look at this another way, what was the heart of God in giving the 10 commandments? Is God an evil dictator?

  19. Does the cross of Christ have any practical effects on our lives today? We all know that Jesus died on the cross to forgive us for our sins. That was in the past. What about the present? To put it in educational terms, we understand the cross in theory. But how do we apply it?

  20. What good is the Old Testament? Doesn’t that just pertain to the Jewish people? Can’t I just read the New Testament, know Jesus, and be saved? Is it a waste of time to read and study the whole Bible? With Christmas around the corner, can’t we just start in the New Testament? Isn’t our hope in Jesus? With all those rules and regulations, what good is the Old Testament?

  21. Can God handle hard questions?

  22. Does God really care about my relationships? The friends we make – even our enemies. Are these people important to God? If life is a web of connections, with yourself standing at the center, does God see it all and does he care? Why would God let good people leave me? God, don’t you know what my enemies are doing?

  23. How can I stay strong as a Christian?

  24. What does it mean to be a faithful follower of Christ? What does it mean to be a faithful Christian? Does it mean spending your time at church? Does it mean giving your money to God? Or does it mean more? What does it mean to be faithful to my wife? Does it mean spending time together? Does it mean collecting our money together in a joint bank account? Or does being a faithful husband mean more?

  25. Can you actually worship God if you are wealthy? How can we make sure that we don’t love money? How much money I can keep for myself? Does Jesus actually mean for us to sell all that we have and give to the poor?

  26. How should Christians treat those in authority? Does my attitude matter?

  27. Where should you start if you want to serve God? How should you prepare to be helpful to the Lord? How can you get ready to be a good workman?

  28. Is church leadership only for the elite, or is it for everyone? Is there a special, select group of people who get the privilege of being leaders? What should we look for in a church leader? What are the criteria for being a leader What does a leader look like?

  29. Is there any power in your personal testimony? Do I need to have a dramatic story to tell? Can I really be sure I’m saved if I feel like I haven’t experienced anything extraordinary?

  30. How does God want us to use our words?

  31. Is the Christian religion a set of rules to be followed? What about the 10 Commandments? Do they even matter anymore? Did Jesus say that in order to have eternal life, we still have to live under the law?

  32. What does it mean to be saved? How do you define your salvation?

  33. Where can you find comfort?

  34. Who do you trust? The world will say that it is foolish to believe in a God that you cannot see, in a God who controls the world, in a God who comes close to you. The world says that you need to trust the facts. You need to trust your feelings. You need to trust in yourself. Is there any help for us to trust God?

  35. Where are you going? Where are you going on vacation? Where are you going to apply? Where are you going to college? While these questions are appropriate, they are not ultimate. The question I ask you today is where are you going to go when you die? The Bible says there is life after death. Heaven and Hell are real. How can we be sure we are headed towards Heaven?

  36. Have you ever felt anxious? How does being a Christian help us when we feel anxious?

  37. Is Jesus a mere man? This is the question at the heart of Christianity. When you behold him, who do you see? If he is a mere man, then we are all fools for believing in something fake. But what if he is who he says he is? What if he is the Son of God?

  38. How can you be sure that Christ cares for you? The Bible says that Jesus died on the cross for your sins. But how can you be sure that he actually cares about your life right now?

  39. Will you endure all the way until the end? How can Christians find the faith to persevere? Where can we find help when we feel like we want to give up? Where can we find hope as we face an uncertain future?

  40. Have you found yourself weary and worn out by the world? Where can we find hope?

  41. When trouble comes for Christians, and when the world looks like it’s winning, what are we to do?

  42. How can we protect ourselves from false teachers? And how can we guard our hearts against the toxic thoughts and ideas of the world?

  43. How can believers obey when Christ is away?

  44. How does God bring people to believe in Jesus Christ? How does God change hardened hearts?

  45. What good can come when people have evil intentions? What good can come when the wicked hearts of man carry out their evil plans?

  46. How does Jesus lead his people to life in God?

  47. Who are you? Who are you, really? What is your true identity? What is Jesus’ true identity? Who is Jesus?

  48. How does Jesus reveal the glory of God to his people? What is the driving force behind Jesus at the Feast of Tabernacles? How does Jesus display his divinity?
