Fight for Joy

In Fight for Joy, Michele Howe helps readers discover peace in impossible circumstances.

Promises of Hope

I’ve read many wonderful books by Michele, but this one hits differently. There is a lot of pain here, and Michele does not hold back—but she also characteristically points us to God’s promises of hope. She writes deeply about dementia, suicide, medical diagnoses, and more.

I was especially moved by the brief list of passages declaring God as Father, God with us, the Lord our Rock, and more. The better we understand who He is, the more we learn to lay down our burdens before the One who can bear them.

Victory through God’s Mercy and Grace

The chapters are short but strong, ending with a heart-cry prayer and practical applications to find joy in God’s past, present, and future faithfulness. I really appreciated this format and hope to bring it into more areas of my personal prayer and public preaching.

This is a book to read slowly and deeply. The biblical principles are profound. The fight for joy is a daily battle. Filled with biblical wisdom, this book will walk you through despair and lead you to victory through God’s mercy and grace.
