God Loves Kids
In God Loves Kids, Jamie C. Finn offers a gospel-centered book about foster care. Our family has both biological and adopted children, and Finn is an inspiration as we also dream of fostering.
God's Good Plan for Every Child
With wonderful illlustrations, this warmly written book helps children understand foster care while introducing them to the God who has a good plan for every child.
I loved how Finn explained that foster families give kids a family—an "every day, for now, as long as you need us" kind of family. The beautiful illustrations by Juliana Oakley are colorful, diverse, charming, and kid-friendly!
Hope for the Journey
I also appreciated how the book frames God as good and loving, acknowledges the brokenness in the world and in our hearts, and clearly presents Jesus as the answer. It specifically shares the message of His death and resurrection, and the hope He brings.
This book affirms, educates on, and champions the beautiful biblical truth that every child is seen, known, and deeply loved by God. Whether you're currently fostering, considering it, or simply want to raise children with a heart for others, God Loves Kids is a meaningful and hope-filled resource for the journey.
