Sound

In Sound, Olga Fadeeva helps young readers discover the vibrations we hear. This educational book explains everything curious kids might want to know about sound—such as pitch, frequency, volume, as well as how our vocal cords and eardrums work.

The book explores sound in space (or the lack of it) and in the sea (where it travels with speed). It looks at the sounds we hear in nature and animals, as well as the ones we can listen to or record using technology.

The Glory of God through the Gift of Sound

The illustrations are wonderful, featuring bold colors and captivating artwork. “Try It!” sections throughout the book encourage children and parents to experiment and learn together.

As a nurse, I especially appreciated the section dedicated to American Sign Language—for those who can’t hear sound. As a worship leader, I especially loved the section on music. This book will help your kids see the glory of God through the amazing gift of sound!
