Chosen by God
In Chosen by God, R. C. Sproul writes about predestination, election, and the sovereignty of God.
With solid arguments and deep biblical conviction, this book is a masterwork for understanding these important doctrines. They are closely connected, and Sproul clearly shows how God remains wise and good.
Mercy and Justice
Sproul also writes thoughtfully on the fall of man and God’s foreknowledge, holding to a strong Calvinist, Reformed view. I was especially moved by how he addresses double predestination, ultimately framing the issue as the difference between those who receive mercy and those who receive justice.
The book concludes with helpful distinctions between true and false assurance of salvation. Chosen by God is a landmark work that has left a lasting impact on me and continues to shape the legacy of the Reformed faith.
